dD Creative Studio is led by Drew Downs — an experienced UX Product Lead with 24+ years of design experience and 15+ years of UX expertise. A firm belief that meticulously crafted products and services change how people work, and a career spent putting the audience first.

Drew's background spans disciplines, with a solid foundation in graphic design. From print advertising projects with small businesses across the United States to collaboration with some of the largest companies in the world, he's honed the skills for building quality products across a diverse client base.
Currently, Drew serves as Senior UX/UI Designer at Accelint (formerly Hypergiant), where he leads design for autonomy and decision-support platforms enabling control of multi-domain unmanned systems — drawing from over a decade of defense experience to integrate AI, machine learning, and geospatial visualization into operator workflows.
Beyond product design, Drew is helping lead Accelint's adoption of frontier agentic coding models — establishing workflows and governance that enable engineers to build faster while meeting the security demands of sensitive defense systems.
Over the years, Drew has contributed to some of the most significant defense programs in the country. As UX design lead on Northrop Grumman's Sentinel program, he shaped operator interfaces that continue to be referenced over six years later. At Tektonux, he led design for the U.S. Army's premier unmanned aviation systems and next-gen HMI platforms.

Away from the challenges of crafting design solutions for complex software, Drew is often on the move across the Southeast, embarking on new adventures with his family. When not exploring, he's likely supporting his wife at her local haven, Vintage 72 — showcasing the talents of 40+ Huntsville-area small businesses.
Leisure time might see him scouring the latest virtual reality attractions with his teenage son, cheering at weekend soccer tournaments for his middle daughter, or unearthing culinary treasures with his youngest. Naturally, no family time is complete without savoring a delectable cookie or two.
